The Nile crocodile (caiman fuscus) is native to Africa. Nile crocodile skin comes from Niles that are bred in captivity and farm-raised. The Nile crocodile skin is one of the least bony of the 23 species of crocodile. As a result, the Nile skin is softer and has smoother scales than other types of crocodile skin, making it among the most luxurious skins in the leather markets. Pan American Leathers (PAL) offers finished Nile crocodile skin in sizes 25 cm wide  x 3 ft long to 59 cm x 9+ ft long, across all grades. Customers can pick from our NYC showroom stock for immediate delivery or order production from our upstate NY tannery. For production, customers can select from our 40+ standard colors in a variety of finishes or provide a swatch or pantone reference for a custom order. As our tannery and showroom are both NY-based, product development is seamless and deliveries are much shorter for US customers than other alligator skin tanneries or distributors. PAL Nile crocodile skin services the auto/moto, belt, footwear, handbag, home, watchstrap and Western industries. Please call, email or schedule an appointment for any further questions.
