We wanted to reassure our customers that we are continuing to ship your orders. For the sake of our customers and employees we are not taking showroom appointments at this time, but you can continue to contact us by phone, email or social media as usual. The caiman crocodile (caiman fuscus) is native to northern South America. Caiman skin comes from caimans that are bred in captivity and farm-raised. The caiman crocodile is bonier than the American alligator. As a result, the skin is more structured and has more character in the scales.
Pan American Leathers (PAL) offers crust and finished caiman skin in both belly and hornback. Sizes range from 15 cm wide x 1 ft long to 45 cm wide x 3 ft long. Customers can pick from our NYC showroom stock for immediate delivery or order production from our upstate NY tannery. For production, customers can select from our 40+ standard colors in a variety of finishes or provide a swatch or pantone reference for a custom order. For more involved product development and faster deliveries, we service US customers from our upstate NY tannery. For better pricing on basic high volume orders, we service our US and international customers from our tannery in Bogotá.
PAL caiman skin services the auto/moto, belt, footwear, handbag, home, watchstrap and Western industries. Please call, email or schedule an appointment for any question you might have or see our Guide to Caiman Skin for more general information.
